Last week, we had a great time at TSF (The Superyacht Forum). This event, in partnership with METSTRADE, connects us with colleagues, suppliers, and clients. In conversations, what stood out was how Pinpoint Works is fast becoming an incredibly popular communication tool in the superyacht industry. We received feedback and ideas from current clients for future development of our software and service – which is always greatly appreciated.
A notable live panel discussion at TSF was the Yacht Owners Representative Program (YORP), which offered an insightful and exciting discussion surrounding communication and documentation for new builds, working with owners’ reps, shipyards, and owners’ build teams. YORP Lead Project Manager for The Crew Academy, Samantha Watson, joined Hein Velema, Joey Meen and Peter Vogel on the panel to discuss the program’s impact on the industry. Pinpoint Works is proud to be a part of the YORP. This accredited and pioneering new course aims to set a new industry benchmark for the qualification of the owner’s representative role.
Pinpoint Works business developer Stuart Boyd hosted a live webinar with the cohort for the YORP program of future Owners’ Representatives to discuss why communication is so important in the success of new build.
Friedrich Dreves, CCO of Adriatic 42 – a Refit shipyard in the Port of Montenegro, gave an insightful discussion of the shipyard’s capabilities and refit facilities. We were immensely proud that Pinpoint Works was featured in this talk as the shipyard’s go-to software to start all the shipyard’s refit work.
Service Excellence was a keynote debate where we heard from senior executives from private aviation, luxury cruise, premium hospitality, and top-level hotels to discuss which ingredients they have found essential in delivering class-leading experiences to their clients, discussing how to structure the best service possible for yachts. This was hugely inspirational and resonates with us as a company as we strive to provide superior project management tools in an industry that prides itself on delivering class-leading experiences to its clients.
