Pinpoint Works: new iOS app released

The innovative communication platform updates their iOS app to include both list and GA view of work list points.

The team at Pinpoint Works recently released an update to their iOS mobile app allowing their users to now work see their work list points in both the list view and the site plan (or GA, general arrangement) view. Previously, users could only see their work points in list view. This new functionality allows for a broader range of usability and ease of accessing the information, both off and onboard.

According to the company’s founder, James Stockdale, this new functionality was inspired by current users. “We’re continually improving both our web and mobile app features directly based on our user’s suggestions,” said James, “It’s the best way to make a product we know our clients need and want.”

With over 600 active yachting professionals using the platform in just over 18 months, James and his team are out to change the way the industry manages their work list communications. It’s currently being used by crew, owner’s reps, contractors, shipyards, and surveyors for a variety of use cases: on-going works onboard, new build construction, refits, paint jobs, shipyard periods.

“The best part about our users is their enthusiasm for the product and their response when we ask for feedback,” added James, “it’s a win-win relationship.” In addition to the mobile apps, which also work offline, the web app adds additional functionality by allowing users to add custom fields and tags specific to their project or work list. While tags were an original feature of the Pinpoint Works platform, custom fields were also created based on users requesting specific types of data such as dates, locations or costs.
