The Pinpoint Works team will be presenting at the Build Show during UK Construction Week at the NEC in Birmingham, October 10-12.
Pinpoint Works, the app that turns your site plan into an interactive worklist, will be exhibiting at the Build Show during UK Construction week, October 10-12, at the NEC in Birmingham at stand B580. This will be Pinpoint Works’ first land-based construction industry trade show.
Though the software was originally created for the yachting industry, Pinpoint Works has found an unexpected market in the small to medium sized property industry. With UK clients ranging from boutique hotels, gastro-pubs, home builders, architects and schools, Pinpoint Works has found a niche in providing a simple and affordable solution for small to medium sized businesses who need an effective work and snag list tool.
Pinpoint Works’ web and mobile apps allow users to log items on site without internet, add media files, descriptions and pinpoint a specific location on a site plan. Users can then communicate on each point specifically using running comments. Site administrators set users’ access levels and create tags and custom fields of information which are used to sort, filter and track data. PDF reports make meetings, site walk-arounds or communication with contractors and subcontractors clear and transparent.
James Stockdale, CEO and Founder of Pinpoint Works, is a super yacht Captain and originally hails from Devon, UK. “After seeing the use cases in the yachting industry, for example snagging new builds, refits, and tracking ongoing maintenance tasks, I felt there may be a broader market for the software,” Stockdale said.
Matt Gibbens, long-time friend of Stockdale’s and now a Sales Director for Pinpoint Works, has been a builder in the UK for over a decade. “When James showed me what he had created for the super yacht industry, I instantly saw that it could be very beneficial to the building industry too. Not only does it ensure nothing is missed during the critical final stages of a build, but the service it offers is provided at a cost-effective rate compared to other products on the market,” said Gibbens.
The team at Pinpoint Works is excited about branching out to a new industry and look forward to providing a simple, affordable solution to companies involved in building maintenance and repair throughout the UK. “We expect to learn a lot about the industry and expand our network at our first show,” added Stockdale.
